So Fresh & So Clean
A fresh platform for all of my thoughts, research, teachings and rants about yoga, meditation, mindfulness, womanhood, vegetarianism, breathwork and more- I'll make it worth your while to be here.
Fresh beginnings can be intimidating but they don’t have to be.
Although I am not new to writing by any means, it feels a bit awkward getting into this first post. Perfectionism has held me by the neck in the past. I continue to work on overcoming this. I’m the type to delete a post on social media if I spell something incorrectly. You may think that spelling and grammar mistakes aren’t that big of a deal. I remind myself of this even though I suck my teeth every time I see a mistake, lol. Perhaps I just really value words, correct spelling and punctuation. With that being said, feel free to suggest edits in the comments!
This platform is going to be raw and unhinged.
I’m launching this platform because I desperately need an uncensored space for me to divulge the real and the raw. I want to share my insights on topics like spirituality, yoga, meditation, womanhood, relationships and more. I also want to hear from readers like yourself who appreciate long-format bodies of work.
I wanna share some very interesting research.
I wanna share my personal stories and media.
I wanna share without a concern of my work getting reported.
I wanna share because it feels good.
Vulnerability has saved my life, time and time again. I have learned (and continue to learn) how to articulate my truth. I am excited to try this platform as a means of communication.
A community for beautiful souls.
Community building is something that I intentionally practice. If you’ve been following my previous work through Meeyogi (wellness-focused brand), Be Dope Do Yoga (yoga-focused non-profit) or Debonair District (fashion-focused brand), then you know that I’m really passionate about bringing people together for a purpose.
This substack is a new outlet for me to be transparent. I’ll be sharing my personal wellness journey, as well as, some case studies from clients that I have worked with. I also plan to invite some collaborators in the future to share their wisdom (let me know if you want to be featured!)
This space will be beautifully raw.
What’s in it for you?
As a free subscriber, you can expect a weekly dose of insight. Most times it will be written; occasionally it will be an audio or video post.
As a paid subscriber, you can expect an additional weekly dose of insight either auditory or visual. You will also gain access to the entire archive.
Let’s stay connected.
With love, Mya
